Further to our last Newsletter item, most carriers from Far East Asian ports have postponed rate increases until 1 August, 2010.
There have been some minor adjustments by some lines, but these are minimal and in most cases GPSM have managed to negotiate a rate extension until end July 2010.
From South East Asian ports, a General Rate Increase of USD 250.00/20ft and USD 500.00/40ft was announced as being implemented from 1 July as per our item in our July 2 Newsletter.
While some carriers have implemented increases, GPSM have been able to negotiate a much lower rate increment, between USD 50.00/TEU and USD 150.00/TEU depending on the carrier involved.
Revised rates have been added to our web rate module where necessary.
